The Supreme Court today asked for responses from U P and Delhi on a petition filed by Vikas Yadav who is convicted in Nitish Katara murder case. Yadav has prayed to the court that his appeal against his conviction in Nitish Katara murder case should not be heard by the Delhi High Court.
Earlier Allahabad High Court had dismissed Yadav’s petition challenging his conviction saying that only Delhi High Court has the jurisdiction to hear the appeal in this case as the Delhi Court had convicted yadav for murder of Nitish Katara.
Vikas, son of controversial western Uttar Pradesh politician DP Yadav, and his cousin Vishal were convicted and sentenced for the murder of MNC executive Nitish Katara whose alleged intimacy with his sister Bharati had not gone down well with him.
